A Preview of the OFN Desktop System
Your Freedom Desktop
You will undoubtedly be spending the majority of your time in the Freedom Desktop, displayed below.
This panel has the gateways to most the resources that make the OFN system tick. Whether working with a specific Chapter, Project or Discussion, or with your own information, blog or gallery, this panel provides direct access to almost everything.
Click on the image below for more detailed information about each section of the Your Freedom Desktop panel.
Messaging System
The OFN Messaging System, displayed below, is used to communicate directly with other members within your Chapters, Groups, Networks and Projects. This spam-free system provides most of the same features as a standard email client.
It can also be set up, using the email preferences section of the Freedom Desktop (above), to alert you through your home or office email address when new messages arrive in your OFN inbox. Since no messages are sent directly to your home or office email, other than notifications of new messages (should you choose to activate them), no 'spam' email will arrive through the OFN system.
Favorites
As you use the OFN system, you will probably come across individual forum topics, blogs, gallery images or links that you may want to use on a regular basis. In order to take a 'shortcut' to these items, you use the Favorites panel.
The Favorites panel also includes a search function, which allows you to find your own saved favorites more easily, should your lists of favorites grow large.

No Software to Download
The entire OFN Desktop system is provided to our members without the need to download a software package to use it. All aspects of the system are 'server-side' systems, which means there is no requirement for hard drive space, minimum memory, fancy video cards or processor speeds. A connection to the internet and any internet browser is all you need.
The system does not use 'cookies', 'active-X controls' or any other invasive programming. Additionally, the OFN system does not send unsolicited emails, or provide any of your personal information (including your email address) to any third party, or any affiliate/subsidiary of the OFN system - present, past or future.
Please Note: Some aspects of the OFN Desktop require that you have javascript enabled on your browser. These javascripts are specifically for providing a more usable interface and communication windows.
