About Our Freedom Network A major concern that has been voiced countless times is that of keeping all of the hard work, forward momentum and the positive future of this freedom movement alive while the current election cycle is in full swing, and beyond. Regardless of the outcome of the election, whether it is a 'win' or 'lose' situation at the polls come election day, a challenge faces us to keep this political machine running to facilitate the never-ending push for freedom and liberty. Our Freedom Network is stepping up to that challenge. A multi-million dollar system is being obtained to give this movement the power to continue it's momentum with an effective, intuitive, diverse and easy to use online interface. This system will be a multifaceted platform where a registered member will have the opportunity to participate in the continuation of the movement with as much involvement as they choose. What Will the Freedom Network Do? This system is being designed to help organize, prioritize and mobilize this movement now, and far into the future. It will take all the aspects that will help attain the goals of freedom and liberty, and put them into a single place. It takes the best ideas, from the brightest minds, and incorporates them into a single platform that offers both ease of use and unlimited future potential. The current status of this movement could easily be classified as "Enormous, Driven, Powerful and RIGHT", but it also fits the description of "Scattered". There are a vast number of web sites offering a variety of services to this movement. From the dozens, if not hundreds, of discussion forums to the various online broadcasting services, meetup group sites, profile sites, news sites, research sites and many other sites covering many other subjects. Many of these, when the elections are over, will vanish as quickly as they were provided. The owners move on to the next 'fad' from which to obtain a living through donations, and the users of those sites are left with nowhere to go. OurFreedomNetwork is committed to being here for the long haul. We intend to use our capacity to build and promote new, unbiased media outlets. We are developing software and making arrangements for major hardware aquisitions. The network's infrastructure will be available on multiple user platforms - not just limited to your home/office computer - these systems will be accessible through laptops, tablet computers, PDA's and even cell phones. With any computer, in any place you can link up to the internet, you'll be able to use this system. How Will the Freedom Network Accomplish This? We have highly experienced programming, networking, design and optimization professionals already working at maximum capacity to bring this vision to reality. Every day, we make another major leap toward completion. The system is being designed with professional 'grade' in mind. This isn't a web template thrown together with FrontPage (no offense intended to FP designers). The databases it runs on are not 'free', such as Access or MySQL (again, no offense to those who use them). The hardware used to house the site, databases and files is of the highest quality, with the power to provide the system to millions of users. The funding for the initial software, computers and internet hosting is already being raised; without asking 'you', as a potential member, for a cent. Initial funding is being achieved through private sources, from people who are as fervent believers in this movement toward real change in government as we all are. The initial cost of these systems, both in hardware and software purchasing and development, has easily crossed the 'million dollar' threshold. We are not joking around with this one - it is real, it is functional, and it is destined to work. Why is signup Free? Why not? If things move along as planned, and you were to put a value on the usefulness, power and organizational abilities of this system, the resulting amount (we hope) would be 'priceless'. Noone can afford that, so it's free! How does the OurFreedomNetwork.com Site Pay for All of This? There are many things about this network that have costs associated with them. From the initial aquisition and development of the software, computers and administration to maintain it, software developers to work on upgrades as they are required, hosting services for the site, databases and email systems, advertising campaigns and information retrieval, funds are required to maintain it. One source of funding comes from individual candidate campaigns. Our Freedom Network provides a system for a candidate to set up a web site, communicate with members within their local/county/state Chapters, organize projects and events to promote their campaign and partake in the power of the network itself. A fee of $99 is charged for this service. We feel that this price is more than fair. Ask anyone who has had the need for a web site, complete with discussion forums and event calendars, and you'll quickly learn that $99 is not only a fair price - it's extremely inexpensive. Add the potential for the candidate to promote their campaign through the use of the people in this network, and the real value of the system is made clear - priceless. Our Freedom Network also plans to provide a venue for the sales of freedom/liberty related products for our developing member base. Whether you have a book, a film, a T-shirt design or a subscription based newsletter, we intend to provide an avenue - or 'online catalog' - for members to obtain your products or services. Think of this part of the system as an online publishing service for e-books and other similar products. Our Freedom Network will charge a fee to the seller, after the product has been qualified as 'on-topic' for our members to purchase or obtain. The fee's will be minimal, but hopefully they will assist in offsetting the costs involved with this site. Another avenue for funding this network is member donations. We at OurFreedomNetwork.com hope we never have to come out and ask for anything. If our members find our service valuable, they can simply send money to our PayPal account to help out - but this is absolutely NOT required. If you feel this service is worth assisting with funds, it's up to you to make the call as to whether you want to help. If you don't, or if you can't afford it, don't worry about it - this isn't about the money! The fact is, your money may be better served in helping to promote a local candidate than this site, and if you had to choose between helping 'here' or helping 'there', 'there' is probably the better choice. A Note to Potential Funders If anyone is interested in providing startup help (funding) for this project, feel free to contact us. The funding for the hardware and licensed software has been obtained. Our programmers are working for free on this system, in the hopes that there will be enough revenue generated through the campaign web site systems to make their current time behind the keyboard worthwhile in the future. Our current hosting outlook is a bit expensive, as is the projected maintenance of the software and support systems. That is where we could potentially use a 'boost' with dollars while the site gears up to take the internet by storm. Additionally, advertising revenues are practically zero. If anyone want's to assist in spreading the word, we will appreciate it.
