OurFreedomNetwork Tools
The OFN system provides its members with a wide variety of organizational, communication, research and personal tools.
These tools are continually updating and growing, based on the actual needs of our members and potential members. Well over 2 years of research and development were invested in the initial OFN system, and this system is designed to be adaptable to growing needs and new and emerging technologies.
Events Calendar
The OFN Events Calendar system puts upcoming event information and schedules at the fingertips of Local, County, State and National chapters. Whether an event is as small as a local town hall meeting, or as large as a national convention, the details and optional RSVP reservation systems are easily promoted and announced through the Events Database on OFN.
Links
Every day members add new links to sites outside of OurFreedomNetwork.com, and unlike other sites (as far as our links system is concerned) we welcome them. Links can be voted 'up' or 'down' the list of popularity. Member submitted links are categorized, organized and searchable. The link system displays three sets of top links automatically for 'today', 'last week' and for the 'previous month'.
Polling
OFN provides yes/no, ranking 1 to 10, and multiple choice polling systems that can be targeted at specific audiences within your OFN Chapters, discussion groups, groups and networks. Polling results can be set up to display only after the polling dates have ended, or optionally displayed in realtime - to allow members to view results as they come in.
Member Gallery
More of a 'toy' than a 'tool', the member gallery system is another way to communicate - through pictures. With an optional slide show system, categorized images, 'add to favorites' system, and customized 'put it where you want it' viewer, the Member Gallery is just another feature that will probably end up having more uses than even WE can think of.
Forms & Documents Engine
Members have the ability to search for a variety of political/governmental forms or documents based on keywords. For example, you can search for all recorded forms that have '1040' in them, or that might have the words 'non-profit' in them. Using the keyword search, or our drill-down categorized system, you can not only find the documents you may be looking for - you may find some that you didn't even know you neededs.
For the most part, the Forms & Documents engine is member maintained, and administratively monitored for accuracy. If you find a form that is useful for your own political needs, feel free to add it (using a simple form on the Freedom Desktop) to the system for others to find.
Project Systems
The Project system built into OurFreedomNetwork is a breakthrough technology that allows members to work together toward a common goal. As a project progresses, participants can provide insight as to what they are doing, why they are doing it, and whether or not they think the project outcome will be a success.
Once the project is completed, the project leader can review and report on the results or outcome of the project. Members of the OFN community can then use searches and categorized systems to tap into those reviews and potentially discover time, effort, or money saving routes to take on their own project.
The software engine behind the project system has been used in medical research projects for over seven years. It has now been adapted to suit the needs of this Political Networking system, and should prove to be priceless in value for our members.
Personal Profiles
As an OFN Member, you get your own personal Member Profile. This gives you the ability to provide information for other OFN Members to view and read. Profile information includes your occupation, hobbies, personal bio/description and other information to let other members know a little more about you.
Blogs
Every member of OFN has the opportunity to publish their own personal blog. The OFN system automatically generates your blog page, the correctly formatted code for blog readers, the blog submission code and automatically distributes your blog to the appropriate news feeds. All you need to do is provide your opinions, thoughts or politically oriented commentary and the OFN Blog system does the rest.
Extensive, searchable Help System
When building the OFN system, ease-of-use was as high a priority as anything else. Even with what we consider to be about 'as simple as it gets', we understand that the numerous areas and features of the OFN system might be a little overwhelming at first.
To that point we have created an extensive, 'even easier to understand', step-by-step help and system tutorial system. Using as many pictures, and as few words as possible, learning how to use the OFN system to it's fullest extent is made much easier with our help system
